Tanzanian Kilimanjaro coffee beans are Arabica beans grown on the slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro. They are known for their unique flavor profile and are considered one of Africa's best coffees.
Characteristics
Flavor: A medium body with a bright acidity, sweet and nutty undertones, and a distinct aroma of dark chocolate and floral notes
Altitude: Grown at an altitude of 1200-1800 meters above sea level
Harvest: Can only be harvested in the warmer dry season between June and September
Soil: Grown in fertile volcanic soils
Preparation
Best enjoyed black, allowing the flavors to shine through
Freshly ground to a course grind
Use 2 tablespoons of ground coffee per 220ml
Filtered water is best, poured on the coffee just under the boiling point
